Building God’s Nation

Do you realize that we are in a great place to do nation building? Think about it. Many, many folks are dissatisfied with where we are as a nation.

We have choices, but not all roads lead to something good.

Our Founding Fathers were dependent on God. They acknowledged God in documents. They built our Constitution around the concept that our rights come from God. Our nation was built on Judeo-Christian beliefs.

Our nation is currently sitting on a pivot. Will we follow our Constitution or choose socialism, communism, or Marxism? Perhaps you are thinking that socialism does not sound so bad? Can you name one Christian socialist country?

A common theme in socialist, communist, and Marxist movements is that God is kicked to the curb. Where does that leave us?

In Revelation, religion and government are tied together. The world follows the Beast.

And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
Revelation 13:8

Politicians are beginning to talk about God. But what are they saying? Some of them are faithful followers of our Lord, but some of them are twisting the Word of God to suit themselves. If you are not grounded well, you may believe them.

The door to a one-world religion swings on the hinges of ignorance of God’s Word. The oil that lubricates that hinge is complacency.

Complacency is not acceptable. Jesus warned the church of the Laodiceans against complacency.

And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
Revelation 3:14-18

Complacency exists when we have too much, and we begin to think we can do it all on our own. Let us remember who gave us America – the God of the universe. Let us honor Him by being grateful for what He gave us.

LIFE APPLICATION

Key Focal Verse:

That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
1 Peter 1:7

Today’s challenge is to take a look how you view the world around you. Please do not be complacent. Let us share His Gospel freely, and hold accountable those who twist it. Please do remember to pray for revival.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7:14
